Hotel Mon Ami - El Remate

Nice cozy room, but no hot water for the shower was disappointing.

Location not far from the lakeshore and more restaurants. Plus, 20 minutes drive from The Hungry Tree. Well-designed and brand-new room, with a nice looking bathroom. The staff was really helpful, the bed was comfy.

The room was perfect with private bathroom and the staff good. The hotel was in a fab location near to with a private dock that leads to a covered platform as well as beautiful wildlife...

The waterfront restaurant was amazing 🌅! Loved the peaceful vibe and thoughtful breakfast options. A tad annoying that the dorm had just one shower and sometimes hot water. Overall a great stay!

Charming vibes by the lake

I was greeted warmly by the staff, who learned my name and treated me like family. The location right by the lake was perfect for tranquil evenings and observing butterflies. I particularly enjoyed the hammock they provided so I could relax with a view!

The bathroom could use an upgrade, as the shower had a tendency to spray everywhere. I also found the wifi connectivity spotty in my room, and the restaurant allowed smoking, inconvenient at times.

The bathroom facilities were outdated. The faucet was almost impossible to turn on and the shower head felt unsafe due to a risk of electric shock. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with my towels arriving with a musty smell and the sheets feeling damp. I also experienced constant noise from the room above, which disrupted my sleep.

the staff are super helpful, preparing breakfast for early trips to tikal. the restaurant has a limited menu, especially for dinner.

The vibe at mon ami is super chill, with a lovely restaurant right on the water. Enjoying breakfast while taking in the views is a must. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful.

Loved watching the butterflies on the hotel! The hammock in front of my room was a perfect chill spot.

The setting was awesome, next to a private pier to have a wonderful swim in the lake, and the forest right by the lake. the excellent service and the attention to detail! .

We stayed here for four nights and had a great experience in a stylish, brand-new room with a peaceful location right next to a garden and park.

The Triple Room was comfy with a private bathroom and a nice view. Enjoyed the outdoor dining area and the garden vibe. Also loved the massage service at the spa, super relaxing. Access to the private beach was amazing for hanging out. Got to see animals crossing the garden, too!

I stayed in the Economy Single Room for 3 nights. The room was cozy and the staff were great too. They learned my name, super sweet. Even got a hammock to chill in! The only downside was a slight musty smell, probably because of the rainy season, and some upkeep needed in the house. It was like a nice little retreat!

The location is perfect for enjoying the lake, and the outdoor restaurant offers a great vibe and decent prices. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and multiple light options.

The bathroom definitely needs an update.

The hotel has a very friendly and welcoming staff. Incredibly beautiful views of the lake. the room and bathroom are quite spacious and include a bathtub. the price was gbp 45, which was a good deal.
